RELEASE THE POWER OF COMMUNISM!
October 17, 2008
In a couple of days I will finally get my new computer in the form of a dell xps 1710. And as a “tribute” I’m going to do a whole custom desktop to fit nicely on the new ubuntu sphere that comes out in v8.10.
If you haven’t figured out what theme it will have by now, it will be communism. And I don’t mean that it will just have the communism logo or something like that, I want it to really SCREAM of communism.
So lets just get to the description:
The main colour will the same as the computer, grey so to say. Onto this there will be a lot of shadows and orange/red light effects so that it wont look so plain. And across the whole picture there will be almost transparent famous communism quotes skittering, these will be in the colour of darkgrey and as said before almost transparent. So that won’t really be visible if you don’t look at the picture carefully, but it will give that little dot over the ‘i’.
Down in the “ditch” there will be hills painted with raised fist in the distance, all nicely semi faded the further away they are etc. Now! In the centre of the wallpaper the planet earth will be, but this earth will have the communism logo “burned” into it or as if a guy with a scalper just went berserk on it.
Now just to give that little extra touch I will have Che Guevara’s head on the left side of the earth, and on the right side of the earth there will be a skull in a similar size/position.
All this will of c be specially made so that there won’t be any “cut” in the wallpaper when it goes onto the sphere. I.E. the left and right corner will fit each other perfectly when put together, so it can flow across a number of desktops and still look like one picture.
If you acctuly bothered to read the whole thing, please give some toughts and critisism of how to make it better etc. ^^
Dude… That’s just the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen in this game…

Hey again!
About two days ago I had my first gaming experience of “Dawn of war”, I’ve been wanting to try it for a cuple of years now but I never really gotten the chanse to…
A well, as it was my first “srategy” game (nope no star craft for me…) I had my bud show me a battle to see how building troops and factorys were. And as I’m a necron fan I beged him to show me this with necrons, they were awsome. All the animations were perfect, you could see the bruteness in their movements and whatnot. One troop realy caught my eyes in this game and it was the flayed ones; they were everything I loved, they were slow as fuck but when they went into close combat they pretty mutch tared most troops into riceless sushi. So right at the spot I stod up with my hand accross my chest looking al so noble while saying: “I will make and sucseed in making of an flayed one army! And may Frawi be my witness!”.
And that was pretty mutch what I did…
Frawi my mate set me up with a “nice” senario of six ways free for all with AI set to hard. After that he walked out to the kicthen to make soom food while laughing at my ideas.
I didn’t really mind the laughing, I get that alot due to these stupid idea’s. Oh well, back to the game!
I kinda started with getting up a small defence of one necron warrior squad, while I set these on some gard duty aka. shoot everything that gets close to the base. I started building some energy generators, if I remeber corectly I used a total of 3 the whole battle. After getting them up I made myself a nice summoning core (?) witch made me able to get my flayed ones to production! And away with the warriors now it was flayed ones all the way! They walked slowly but they did their job of wiping one army after another. And when Frawi came back and asked how it went, I just pointed at the screen.
What met him was a total 30-40 flayed ones hammering on a chaos main base, being under a heavy fire. While there were those who died, most came back from the grave and those who didn’t… well they cost about 30 energy and they get back FAST. So it pretty mutch were an unstopible force on that map, even when meeting a nightbringer at a later battle it were pretty efortless. And well I just can’t wait to try this at a big lanparty. X)
Oy! Oy! Squichy flame thingy there, lets go boyz! WAAAAAGH!

OBS!
Conclution:
After getting my BW to rank 11 getting gear and stuff it just didn’t work out at all, most of their mechanics just don’t fit with the whole “toughness” consept. This is mostly due to combustion explosions (our suiside mechanic) do not get mitigrated by toughness so that will still eat or health fast and make us explode just like skavens that eaten to mutch warpstone cookies…
So I call this project closed for the time being.
If you happend to read my first post about “brute-healers” you probably already know that my mind has a screew loose. And also I’m a survivability junky that likes to abuse classes, now in the post about brute-healers I take a class with high survivability and make it ridiculously high with the help of “brute-gear”.
After some testing It worked really well, at the middle game rank of 20 you can get up to about 300-500 toughness depending on how lucky you are with drops. Now, just for the fun of it (and to get some side project, grinding influence with a healer is a pain) I desired to take the “weakest” class in the game and abuse gear to get up her survivability. So Bright Wizards here I come!
Now before starting you should read about gear etc. at the post about brute-healers, the only difference is that you switch will for intellect.
Oki, before I start lvling I just googled around a bit to find the pq rewards (my main source of equipments) just to see if it would be remotely plausible. And luck was on my side as not only do the gear match the zealots gear, it outgoes it in terms of “brutishness”.
Here’s a list of the t2 pq brute-gear, this will be your first set of brute gear throu the game and hopefully it will work.

Total Intelligence from pq rewards:33
Total initiative from pq rewards:19
Keep in mind that this is just a fraction of the gear you’ll be using, most other pieces gets to you by drops or from having renown ranking, so don’t worry about the small numbers.
Now to pure theory:
A zealot at a rank of 20 have more then 100 base toughness so lets take that as our base atm. (if you have a Bright Wizard at rank 20 please give me feedback on how much base toughness you have)
Onto this we get 100 extra toughness from the pq gear, and 57 from renown skills witch pretty mutch leaves you with a sum of 257 toughness. Quite a bunch already, but there’s still more to come!
Now the pieces of gear that you don’t get from pq’s will mostly be greenys from drops or auctions.
These pieces are missing atm:
Head; Not 100% sure but you could at least get 10 toughness from this slot.
Cloak; A descent rank 15-20 cloak will have about +20 of a certain stat so lets say you found one of those toughness ones.
Accessories: We only have one atm. and lets say we take the three rvr rings so that’s another +18 toughness.
This will put us well above 300 toughness at rank 20, so in theory the Bright wizzard can be brute equiped but it’s how it goes in practic that I need to test. So hold your thumbs for me and lets se if I can make another wierd thought go the way it’s suposed to. ^^
